“Well, how much time will the entire case take? From beginning to end? From when you get contacted by a prospective client for her (his) personal injury case?”

Spencer Freeman – Personal Injury Attorney – Pierce County, WA

“It really depends on the severity of the injury, and how clear liability is. If you’ve got an injury that takes six weeks to heal, then that case is going to take, in reality, about 10 weeks for us, from beginning to end, to potentially get a settlement. I would say, on average, you’re looking at about 10 months. But when you talk about those type of averages, you’re building in the fact that some cases last several years because the injuries take that long to heal. Or, once they’re healed, it takes a long time to negotiate or be able to document and substantiate all of the injuries. It’s a process. Some cases are short. Some cases tend to be a lot longer.”
